This Sinner's Prayer

 I need Your guidance everyday

Every step along the way

I need You to go with me

Through Your Spirit now I pray

I need Your love and grace

And my sins to be erased

I need to know you're there

And you hear this sinner's prayer

I need Your righteousness to be

The robe that covers me

I need Your strength to carry on

When all my strength is gone

I need to know You're with me

On the strait and narrow way

And that You hear my fervent prayer

Every time I pray

I need You once again

Like the flower needs the rain

To cleanse me from my lawlessness

And let no sin remain

Wash me in Your blood

And surround me with Your love

Until I see Your glory shine on me

I need for You  to show me LORD

The error of my ways

So that I can stand before You

Free from sin on judgment day

Give me ears to hear Your voice

And give me eyes to see

The dangers found in my iniquity

I need Your Spirit to reveal to me

The mysteries concealed

In Your book of Revelation

Given to Your servant John

As revealed to him by Christ

Who became our sacrifice

To save the world

From what is soon to come

I need You once again

Like the flower needs the rain

To cleanse me from my lawlessness

And let no sin remain

Wash me in Your blood

And surround me with Your love

Until I see Your glory shine on me

Father let Your kingdom come

And let Your will be done

For me and for my family

Through Jesus Christ Your Son

Forgive us now I pray

When what we do and say

Is not according to Your will
