The Dream

I dreamed I saw the city

Of my holy righteous God
Coming down from heaven

Where the saints and angels trod
I entered through the pearly gates

And walked the streets of gold
That led me to my Savior

And Redeemer of my soul

His countenance was shining

And His hair was white as snow
His eyes they seemed to follow me

Wherever I would go
The nails that pierced His hands and feet

Were there for all to see
The sacrifice that Jesus Christ

Made for you and me

HalleluYAH He is worthy

To be King forevermore
HalleluYAH He is waiting

Just beyond the open door
In the city of our God

The new Jerusalem
For those who have been purchased

With the blood of the Lamb

I dreamed I was in paradise

With Peter and with Paul
Who were standing next to  Abraham

The father of us all
Like Moses and Elijah

Who were faithful til the end
They will live forevermore

When Jesus comes again

I saw the blood of martyrs

Who were faithful unto death
Who were willing to be sacrificed

Until their last breath
Through trials and tribulations

They were faithful til the end
And they'll receive eternal life

When Jesus comes again

HalleluYAH He is worthy

To be King forevermore
HalleluYAH He is waiting
