In God's Garden

I have sown a seed today and I know that it will grow

Because Jesus Christ will water it with His blood I know

It is planted in His garden in His soil so rich and pure

Where it will blossom like a rose as long as life endures

The garden becomes bigger inch by inch and row by row

With tender loving care God prunes it everyday

When I ask the LORD to help me weed every time I pray

In God's garden there is room for you and me

To be workers in the field for all eternity

In God's garden there are laws of love and grace

That nothing in this universe can alter or erase

I sowed many seeds today in very fertile ground

But Satan came to dig them up when I was not around

And in their place he planted many weeds of his own kind

To mingle with the seeds of Christ until it's harvest time

I sowed many seeds today but some did not take root

And others grew into a tree but did not bear good fruit

When Jesus comes again He will pluck them from their bed

And they will sleep forever in the valley of the dead

In God's garden there is room for you and me

To be workers in the field for all eternity

That nothing in this universe can alter or erase

Soon the seeds that I have sown will be ready to be reaped

And the angels of the LORD will come to separate the wheat

And the tares that grew among them will become a funeral pyre

When Satan and his demons are cast into the fire

Then God will recreate the earth and all things will be new

And Eden will be home again for those like me and you

With the Lion and the Lamb we'll live in perfect harmony

And the glory of the LORD will shine for all the world to see
