To God be the glory

Ten Laws Of Love

There's a book I know, written long ago

That reflects the mind of God

Where wisdom lives and love forgives

Through mercies washed with blood

And written in the Bible

By the patriarchs of old

Is the gospel of redeeming grace

Worth more to me than gold

And found between the covers

In stories often told

Ten laws of love engraved in stone

That can't be bought or sold

Each one, a priceless masterpiece

That no earthly wealth could buy

Was sanctioned by the blood of Christ

That He shed for you and I

Ten laws of love, that God has given us

And if only we would trust Him and obey

And if we believe, His truth sets us free

(We're free indeed)

We can stand upon, God's promises, today

There are laws that rule the universe

That govern you and me

That were written by my Savior

Who was slain on Calvary

And if they could have been repealed

Why did Jesus have to die

To make atonement for our sins

The Lamb of God, was crucified

Each law reflects the Saviour's love

For all of His creation

For every woman, child and man

Born of every tongue and nation

Like candles glowing in the night

For those with eyes to see

They teach His children wrong from right

And they set His people free

Ten laws of love, that God has given us

And if only we would trust Him and obey

And if we believe, His truth sets us free

(We're free indeed)

We can stand upon, God's promises, today

O but what a shame, I've heard them say

We don't need God's laws today

Let us decide what's right from wrong

And send them back, where they belong

So go Your way and close the door

We don't want You here no more

You're rules aren't what we're looking for

So let the devil, have his way

There's a narrow way to glory

And there's a broad way paved with shame

And those who take the narrow gate

Will never thirst again

And when our trials are over

With the angels, we will sing

As we thank God for His gift of grace

Through Jesus Christ our King

Ten laws of love, that God has given us

And if only we would trust Him and obey

And if we believe, His truth sets us free

(We're free indeed)

We can stand upon, God's promises

Won't you stand upon God's promises

We can stand upon God's promises, today

There's a book I know, written long ago

That reflects the mind of God

Where wisdom lives and love forgives

Through mercies washed with blood

And written in the Bible

By the patriarchs of old

Is the gospel of redeeming grace

Worth more to me than gold

Amen
