To God be the glory

Out Of The Ashes

When my heart was broken and hard as a stone

When my way of living could never condone

What God wanted from me, I was too blind to see

The power of sin had darkened my mind
Corrupting my flesh and leaving me blind

To the power of love, that was beckoning me

When somebody somewhere got down on their knees

Praying for me

When I could not hear God calling my name

When I could not see Him reaching out to claim me for His own

I was never alone

When I was too weary and could not go on

When my bridges were burning and all hope was gone

I was never alone, God was calling me home

When somebody somewhere got down on their knees

Praying for me

Somebody somewhere got down on their knees and was praying for me

And out of the ashes came somebody who sang a new melody

Now I am born of the Spirit and washed in the blood of the Lamb

And through Jesus my Saviour and King, I know who I am

Now I am a singer of Psalms to my God

With each melody I will praise and applaud Him

For all that He's done through Jesus His Son

I have been rescued from the wages of sin

My guilt was taken and given to Him

On Calvary, where He bore my sins for me

When somebody somewhere got down on their knees

Praying for me

Somebody somewhere got down on their knees and was praying for me

And out of the ashes came somebody who sang a new melody

Now I am born of the Spirit and washed in the blood of the Lamb

And through Jesus my Saviour and King, I know who I am

Somebody somewhere got down on their knees and was praying for me

And out of the ashes came somebody who sang a new melody

Now I am born of the Spirit and washed in the blood of the Lamb

And through Jesus my Saviour and King, I know who I am

Through Jesus my Saviour and King, I know who I am

Through God my Redeemer and Friend, I know who I am
