My Savior Lives

I’ve seen the presence of my Savior in the sky
In the beauty of a sunset as I watched an eagle fly
Soaring with the wind beneath his wings
In honor of my God my Savior and my King
Because He lives my Savior lives

I’ve seen His universe illuminate the night
I’ve seen the moon that God created to reflect His greater light
Shining down for all the world to see
That Jesus Christ gave His life to ransom you and me
But now He lives my Savior lives

Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives I can say today
Because He lives there’ll be no more sorrow
For those who sleep in Christ on resurrection day

I’ve heard His songbirds singing sweetly in the trees
That were dancing in the wind as they sang their melodies
There’s harmony in every note they sing
To honor their Creator who created everything
Because He lives my Savior lives

I’ve seen His snow flakes shine like diamonds in the sun
That reminds me every morning that a new day has begun
They glisten and they sparkle in the snow
To honor their Creator and to let His people know
That Jesus lives my Savior lives

Because He lives I can face tomorrow

Because He lives I can say today

Because He lives there'll be no more sorrow

For those who sleep in Christ on resurrection day
