Addicted To Jesus

Before I knew my Father and my Savior Jesus Christ
I became addicted to the devil and his vice
That Satan had designed to attack my liberty

Until Jesus heard my fervent prayer and came to rescue me

I'm addicted to Jesus, and I need him more each day

To fill me with His love and grace, and chase my blues away

I know that He is willing  to forgive me for my sin

If I confess my lawlessness to Him

I'm addicted to Jesus, and I know I can't repay
The sacrifice He made for me on crucifixion day

 I know that Jesus loves me because of Calvary

When He took my sins and nailed them to that tree

I took the drugs that Satan had prescribed to ease my pain

But they only made matters worse time and time again

Until my Savior showed me that the danger I was in

Came about through lawlessness and sin

I'm addicted to Jesus, and I thank Him everyday

For all that He has done for me every time I pray

I ask the LORD to bless my home and my family

And deliver them from lawlessness like me

I'm addicted to Jesus, and addicted I'll remain

To His love and righteousness when Jesus comes again

I will live forever in the new Jerusalem

In the presence of the Lion and the Lamb

For I no longer crave the drugs that Satan has for me

Now that I have Jesus I have been set free

Free from condemnation and free from guilt and shame

And free from my dependence on the one who caused my pain

I am free from my dependence on the one who caused my pain

Now I know my Father and my Savior Jesus Christ

And I have been delivered from the devil's cruel device

That Satan had designed to attack my liberty

But through the blood of Jesus Christ I am now set free

Through the blood of Jesus Christ I am now set free
